long time no blog?!!

yeah..that's the question Blogger ought to have asked me had it been an interactive software...
I guess this post might just serve the purpose of a space filler...to fill the huge time space which already exists and which will grow further if i don't write this...
So what the hell what was I doing all this while?
Being a prisoner at Agnels Central Jail, there's little scope for a person to have any leisurely blogging. so, the first of the last semesters began quite uneventfully, only to promise lots of events and mishaps later on..
Throghout the three months, mercury arc valves (which, you might've guessed, are well beyond obsolete!), digital communication techniques, numerical methods, switch gears, and control systems ate the choicest parts of the times available...the remaining time was consumed by a nuclear 'owl' who would have us prepare a report, without being aware of what we were doing!!
All this, infact, was to have been expected, because with perfectionists around you like Mr.K and chicken-screw ups like Fish, and people like the Weeping Hag, you can't actually put all your 'final-year-fun-plans' to practice!!!
So, the first bang was fish having his cellular phone confiscated, that too, by an idiot!! Then, him making an incorrect choice of punishments and landing with a stupid tiff with the Hag..he went on to create history...had his phone away from him for a month!!!! (He earned a big name; metaphor for cell phone screws!)
Then, the class didn't fall behind in doing all sorts of crap (there's one going on right now!!)...quite a mess..this semester.....
life did have some good sides..there was a trekking expedition to karnala; good time spent woth the folks...then there was another one to Panchgani (will post the pics later..)
I happened to land with a job in Siemens..
A few more trips this sem are expected..so there's no shortfall in fun...
Overall, these three months get an 'okay' rating from my side..the exams are still pending though!!! hope for an exciting post next time...ciao till then!

For monetary reasons, I have to get back to posting some techno-crap, and that's what I'm doing here...

Siemens AG is the largest engineering conglomerate in Europe and the largest electronics company in the world. The company is a conglomerate of three main business sectors: Industry, Energy and Healthcare. This is a $ 110 billion company, employing almost 480,000 people globally.

Founded by Ernst Werner von Siemens, a German inventor and industrialist, also hailed as the founding father of electrical Engineering in Germany, in 1847, what began as a telegraph company, soon developed into a massive organization, that diversified into power, transportation and illumination sectors by 1890. In 1881, the world's first electrically lit street came into being at Goldaming, UK, powered by a Siemens system. By the 1920s and 1930s, the company began manufacturing radios, television sets, and electron microscopes.

Post the Second World War, Siemens AG started manufacturing computers, semiconductor devices, washing machines and even pacemakers from the Bavaria base. By 1980, Siemens introduced world's first digital telephone exchange, and by 1997, it produced the first GSM cellular phone with colour display.

Between 2001 to 2006, the organization acquired 33 companies, with names like Bayer, Alstom and Huntsville Electrionics Corporation (belonging to Chrysler group) included in them.

As of 2008, the company manufactures a wide range of products in industrial, telecommunications, transportation, control systems, healthcare and other miscellaneous fields like fire detection and hematology systems.
